YouTube Update: Two Best Friends Play – BLADE RUNNER (feat. SynaMax)

And now I bring to you the other project I was talking about a while back. In addition to Let’s Analyze, I will be working with one of my best friends, SynaMax, on a “Two Best Friends Play” series. The first game up is Blade Runner, the game based on one of Max and my favorite movies.

Blade Runner was released in 1997 by Westwood Studios, who developed The Legend of Kyrandia, Dune II, Dune 2000, and most of the Command & Conquer series up until their closure in 2003. According to Wikipedia, Blade Runner was the first adventure game to feature real-time 3D models for the characters. Westwood even created their own technology for it, which bypassed the need for a hardware 3D accelerator.

Blade Runner received mostly positive reviews, but unfortunately kind of fell by the wayside, probably due to other big games released that year such as Final Fantasy VII, GoldenEye, and Gran Turismo (in addition, Westwood didn’t have very big ad campaigns as far as I know).

This may or may not turn into a series, and due to college starting back up again, we may or may not finish this game. Nevertheless, we hope you enjoy our shenanigans in this first part, and there will be more to come.
